Partnerships
FOCUS has formed a coalition with three other non-profit organizations in Baltimore that offer inner-city youth and young adults free professional IT training. These exciting organizations are committed to combine their resources to provide quality information technology workforce training to address the lack of diversity in the technology workforce. The three organizations have a common agenda which is to meet the demands and challenges of the ever-present elephant in the room—racial disparities. Our aim is to combine our resources to provide counseling, learning and assessments tools, and life management skills to each student.

About Associated Black Charities (ABC)
ABC works across Maryland as an educator, advocate and supporter to eliminate race-based structural barriers and advance long-term solutions that create new opportunities for African Americans to thrive financially and build a stronger economy for all. Associated Black Charities was founded in 1985 to represent and respond to issues of special significance to Maryland’s African American communities. Concerned that needs within these communities were not being adequately addressed, a group of area ministers and businessmen came together. They envisioned an organization that would raise and distribute funds in support of efforts that targeted the needs specific to African Americans in Maryland. To learn more, visit abc-md.org.
